The One Act Book of Mormon Plays

For this last Family Home Evening our dad made up a game called "The One Act Book of Mormon Plays" I wonder what we had to do. Well, obviously our family acted out some stories from the Book of Mormon. We split up into two groups to do our little play thingys. My group was Dad, Rachel, Eliza, and I. The story we got was Nephi Gets the Plates of Brass. Dad was Lehi and Laban, Rachel was Lemuel and Zoram, Eliza was Lamen, and I was Nephi. We got a couple minutes to plan out our plays and Choose who's who. Dad was like "Okay. You're him, she's that, I'm this, and you all know the story right?" Then started watching the Republican Debate. I decided we had to at least do a little bit to make our play planned out. So I got costumes for everyone. Dad's Lehi costume was his robe and a headband/wig thing they he put on his chin instead of his head for a beard. His Laban costume was a princes crown, some broken sunglasses, and a fancy scarf thing to rap around him. Rachel had a robe and a headband, I had an awesome cape thingy and a headband, and Eliza didn't have to suffer. Jenny's group, Alicia and Andrew, were a lot more organized. They got out the Book of Mormon and read their story, (Nephi builds a boat) then planned everything out perfectly. When the time came to do the plays we had to choose who went first with the usual deciding game; Rock, Paper, Scissors. It ended up our team had to go first. So we started doing our play and Lamen got really, really whiny. He even started crying!!! (Eliza was the perfect part for Lamen) Rachel did a good job of imitating Lamen too. When it got to the part where Nephi kills Laban we didn't have a sword so we used a shield. We all got really giggly and our play kind of fell apart. We had lots of fun though! When it came to the other group's play it was perfectly planned out and acted out perfectly. Our play was still ten times better though.
